Dec 23, 2016 · CalgaryTSX. 225/45R17's would definitely handle better than 215/50R17's since they are wider & lower profile (0.5" less in diameter) but 225's are really too wide for the TSX stock wheel 17x7. I went 225/50R17's which are just a little taller than the stock 215's, but on wider 17x7.5' wheels the diameter difference was insignificant.
